I went to these guys and specificly asked them was it legal to have mirror tint, I asked them because they tinted one of my cars with mirror tint in the past and I heard rommers of high fines for having it nowadays.
The guy told me yes, but the have a new tint called PLATNIUM TINT, and that this was street leagal if you get it in 33% to 35% visablity. I said cool lets do it but make sure it's legal, he said okay I said okay and left.
I came back to pick up my car and the windows looked rushed over, as if they were not squgied out good enough, had a whol lot of bubbles in the tint all ove mainly in the back windsheild and front windows so bad in fact that he pulled my car back in the bay to attemp to "fix the back windshild a lil better", Told me to give it a few days and the rest will dry out.
A couple of weeks later it was still the same I took the car back and got nothing but attitude, then the black guy who obviously was the most upset because he tinted them say's
"PLATINUM TINT IS NOT LEGAL ANYWAY SO" Now Im realy pissed, out of $125.00 for a crappy tint job with a "lifetime garentee" but I'm now told that it's ILLEGAL and to give it 2 months to dry, YEAH RIGHT in the state of SC you only have 30 days to dispute a unsatisfactory product or service.
