My '07 Accord was taken to Alpha Tint on 1/6 for tint job. About 3 weeks later I noticed vertical scratching on front driver/passenger windows in tint after normal use of windows. Upon inquiring further from Honda, I was made aware that when applying tint to this vehicle, the installation of felt/cushioning material in window sill was needed to insure that tint would not be damaged on window when window was in motion within door asy.
Honda does not apply any sort of material for this purpose in the factory, so it would be needed in tint shop along with tint. I took this information back to Alpha Tint, and asked that tint job be replaced on all four doors (fronts were already damaged, rears had no marks because rear windows are not lowered, but no cushioning material had been installed either on rear), plus job had been given lifetime warranty. Alpha Tint took no responsibility for problem, stating it was caused by dirt and window use.
Alpha Tint I told me to call tint film maker, but I received no help from film maker since there was no issue with product, just installation of product. Lifetime warranty was never honored from Alpha Tint. Front passenger door tint is heavily scratched at this point, driver's side window lighter, but still scratched.
