I recently contacted right way auto after I saw one of their ads in the paper. Called them up and spoke with mark wyton. He told me a little bit about how the program works. Appparently they have access to private money and they get people approved that get turned down everywhere. Well I live an hour away and told mark I didn't want to come down there for nothing. He took down my application and told me over the phone I was approved for any car they had on their lot. I went down there the following weekend with all the "stips" he told me to bring in.
I noticed they had a white chrysler 300. Now mark already knew my credit, and cash down situation when he told me I could get any car there. He said depending on the car I would be somewhere around 200-300 a month at 10%APR. Well when I got there it was a completley different story. When I told him the car I wanted (the 300 C) he basically laughed and insulted me. "With your credit your lucky to get a buss pass".
Me and my wife were totally insulted. I wanted to leave right then. We went out side to smoke and he came out and said, "look I talked to my boss and he called in a favor. With 9 grand down you can have that car." I asked how much the car was. He said after interest and everything it would be 14 grand.
Too good to be true? Yup. This guy is a damn liar. I go inside and talk to his "boss" who magically called in a favor. God I hate the car business. All the "favors" and "secret meetings" that go on. I don't trust these people. So his boss who I can't remember his name. Some big guy.
Basically reads me the riot act about how jacked my credit is and I need to be looking at a 1996 neon or something like that they had with 125k miles on it. Then he tells me my interest rate will be 30%!!! I told him mark told me it was only going to be 10% and he called mark over and asked him and mark aked completley shocked. "I would never say something like that!" he whined like a little girl.
So now I really want to knock out everyone in this scam hole. So I left. I did some research and the "private" money they get is from a place called Gateway Financial out of Saginaw, Michigan. The owner of BOTH companies is Dick Garber and apparently he uses Right Way Automotive to send his bank money too and then charge insane interest rates.
I spoke with a previous customer of theres after doing more research and she ended up paying over 14K bucks for a 1998 dodge neon in crappy shape with over 115K miles on it!
This company is a scam and full of liars. Dick garber also own Sunrise Chevrolet which I have also heard rips people off. These places are bad news and I urge you not to fall for their tricks or scams! Anyplace that would hire blatent liars like Mark are totally low class used car lots.
