Ozark Auto Sales
Special financing RIP OFF!

In July I was in dire need of transportation and did not have a great amount of funds to work with. I was traveling passed Ozark Auto Sales and happend to notice a sign that read "WE FINANCE". (The sign has since been removed) I decided after work that day, I would stop in and take a look at the inventory. I have family members that know the gentlemen that owns the dealership and warned me that, while he is a nice guy they would be leary of doing business with him. One realative warned me that he had actually bought an SUV through this dealership and when he took it to have a tire replaced two wheels actually fell off when the shop attendant put the vehichle on the lift.

Against my better judgement and running out of time and options, I made a purchase through the dealerships own finance program. I purchased a car that was a little older than I was comfortable with, but appeared to be in great shape with low milage. I also recieved a 30 day warrenty from said dealership because of the age of the vehicle.

After about 1 week and a half, the air conditioner stopped working and needed a clutch replaced, I notified the dealership numerous times with no response. I eventually had the work done myself, since it was about 90 degrees on average I had little choice. It was about $200.00, since I knew the mechanic personally he lowered the labor fee and informed me that I should have not purchased a car from that particualar dealership without having it looked over first. He said the car was showing signs of considerable wear and tear.

I understand that little things can go wrong with a vehicle with little or no warning so I was not to upset at this point. However, about 2 weeks after the air conditioner ordeal, the car died in line at a drive thru resturaunt. A group of gentlemen helped me push it out of the line of customers that it was sitting in, dead and blocking. I got a jump start and took it home where it would not start again after being turned off. It seems the altenator was bad. I once again notified the dealer of the problem and after two weeks he agreed to have it fixed. I believe the cost was around $80.00.

One week later the Car is back on the road. Heading to a meeting that I was to be conducting w / one of the ceo's of my company, the water pump goes outleaving me on the side of the road once again. I placed a call to the dealership again, no response.in the heat of the summer day and knowing that I was going to be late for my meeting I decided then and there, i am not paying for this to be fixed. I decided, if they don't honor the agreement that they made with me, I will let them take the car back with a refund. Needless to say they did not see that as an acceptable solution. I called my mechanic friend who, found the piece I needed and replaced for me with no labor charge.

At this point the car had been in the shop more than it has been drivable. Just when it looked like maybe the kinks had all been worked out, the brakes went out on the car leaving it and me in the ditch on a country road, at one o'clock in the morning none the less. I would travel that road when I worked late, as it took less time to get to my house at the time. Luckily i had a signal on my phone and called my friend to tow it to my house and then to the shop for repair.

The car is currently in the shop getting a new exhausst system installed. The exhaust was completely rusted as if the car has been in a flood. Nothing would suprise me at this point. I have refused to give the dealership any form of payment until i am reinbursed for the repairs of the car. I recieved a notice in the mail a few days ago informing me that the dealership is going to sue me for back payments. I am pursuing all legal means at my disposal currently. The dealer has also bagan, calling my work cursing and yelling at me and other employees as well as my own household and the members thereof. I have offered to return the car to the dealer numerous times. The last time we talked he said " the hell with the car, I want the money". It's not suprising to me that he does not want the car back, after all he knows what condition it is in and, he knew all along. I do not hold a personal grudge against this man, he is close to some of my family members and I hope they reamin close through this. I just want this wreckless, crooked behavior to be exposed and dealt with fairly.

I wish I had listened to the ones who warned me about this particular auto sales establishment. I have since met a few people that have been taken on the same, miserable ride by this same dealer that I have had to endure. I warn you as I was warned. If you're on the market for a used vehichle, stay away from Ozark Auto sales in Leadington Missouri.

Thank You
