They will Sell you a bad car and charge you an arm and a leg

My husband and I purchased a 99 Oldsmobile Alero on 7/05. The vehicle broke down and had a bad anitfreeze leak and was overheating. It needed a new Theromostat and Water Pump and needed to be towned back to the dealership on 7/12. Dealership paid for all cost. Car started to overheat again on 7/19. I returned it to the dealership on 7/24 due to another anitfreeze leak. Also on 7/23 the driver side window fell off of its track and broke in half inside the car door. Window was fixed and Car received a new radiator cap and also they fixed out A/C unit which was not working. While mechanic was working on the car somehow the car's security system locked up and the mechanic was not able to open the car. Mechanic said he couldn't get a hold of the dealership until the next day there were closed. I live 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the dealership and have been waiting all day since 9am until 6pm with my 1 year old child. I told the owner this wasn't acceptable and they provided me with a loaner car and gave me 40 gas and toll money. The loaner car overheated the next day also, and I had to take it to a shop to have them do a quick repair on it as well. I returned the loaner car on 7/26 and my husband was told the it needed a new A/C compressor and out warranty covered that with 100 dollar deductable but, air blew out. It also needed a shot of frieon but mechanics did not provide that as well. Car's radiator cap was replaced to stop the antifreeze leak and over heating. On 8/29 the car broke down again. We called the salesperson and he was off that day. On 9/2 we had it towed to a mechanic in our area and he charged us 271.25 to look at it and including the cost of the tow. He told us it was the front right caliber and the front brakes that were so bad. Who ever owned the car before us tried to put it on therselves and did not tighten the bolts so the caliber ended up scraping against the wheel causing it go be ruined and ruin the brakes. That mechanic put bolts on the caliber so it was able to be driven back to my home. He also told me that this job would not be covered under our extended warranty. I had a friend of the family mechanic come to the home on 9/4 and charged us 350 including labor and parts to finish the job. Prior to that my husband had reached the salesperson and he said that it should of been covered under our extended warranty. Same day our family mechanic fixed the car I went to my office and when I returned to my car and my car was turning on but then cutting right off. The mechanic came to my office and looked at my car again and told me that it was the Body Control Modual. He did a temporary fix and I drove it home. My husband called the extended warranty company and they told us that it would not be covered under the warranty either because we have over 100K miles on the car. (the sales person did not tell us this before we purchased the warranty). We attempted to call the owner of the dealership and he did not call us back. The sales person talked to the owner the next day and the owner told him there is nothing the dealership will do about it because when we bought the car we signed an "as is" form. Even though we purchased a warranty. The owner also told the sales person if he wants our car fixed he has to pay out of his pocket. The salesperson said that if he pays out of his pocket since he just put a large deposit on a townhome can we help him out and pay a little of it back to him. My husband and I declined and am now reporting the dealership.

On September 27th Our Car did not start again. The battery was completely dead. We Jump started it and it would work but, as soon as you turned the car off it would die again. I took it again to the mechanic and they told me that my battery was completely dead and when they went to recharge it smoke was coming out of the top. They warned me not to put the battery back in or the alternator will die. They suggested a new battery in which I had to purchase as well which cost me another 101.00.
