I leased a car from Honda finance corporation. Since I travel a lot, I decided to have my statements sent to my mum's. Honda interpreted that as a relocation and did not hesitate to charge me a tax. I rung Honda at 1800 708 6555.

After waiting about 20 minutes, I finally got a hold of a live person. I asked why I got these extra charges, and the operator explained that Honda interpreted my change of posting address to a physical address change. The operator went on to explain that he would have the charges taken off and things would be taken care of. A couple of months later, I noticed on my statement, not only did the charges not get taken off, but I was given a late fee on top of the charge. I rung Honda again. This time, the operator acted like the charge was deserved and that I am somehow misinterpreting the statement. I asked to speak to a supervisor, the operator rudely transfers me.

The supervisor does not pick up and I got his voice mail. After I left him a message, he never phoned me back. Another month goes by and I ring Honda again. I explained the situation and the operator agrees to research the charges and promised a phone call back. Another month goes by and I don't hear a sound from Honda. However, I did recieve a letter from them. This time, it was a threat from Honda, saying that if I don't pay that money, they will get a collector after me. I could not believe Honda.

You would think they are a big corporation and would handle things better but they are one of the worst. This time, I tried phoning the credit collections department. They also promised to look into it and ring me back, but up until now, I have heard nothing from them. As far as I am concerned, I believe that Honda has done nothing about the situation. Not only is Honda a terribly mismanaged company, but they get nothing done. On top of that, each time I rung Honda, I had to wait 20 minutes. If that isn't inefficiency, I dont know what is. If you value your time and patience, don't deal with Honda finance. They will waste your time and act like they have done nothing wrong when they have made nothing but mistakes. There is nothing wrong with making those false charges on me, but what is important is how they handle the situation afterwards.

Why tell me they are handling the situation when in fact they are doing nothing? Nearly, a year has gone by and no progress has been made. I am very disapointed with Honda and would advise everyone to be very careful when dealing with them. I also tried contacting the Better Business Bureau about them but the BBB told me they don't deal with Honda finance. This is why I am writing on here so that hopefully people will read it and be warned about Honda's dishonest ways.
