4 months after purchasing this very expensive warranty, my car over-heated on freeway, had to get towed, was told probably thermostat.
Auto repair man called AUL, staff person very rudely told him this wasn't covered. Later found another problem with car, called AUL told that wasn't covered.
I finally asked to speak with a manager who was a least more friendly than operator who answered - still told that none of my repairs are covered not even the towing. I asked about procedure to cancel this warranty that I paid almost $1500 for. I was told by the manager to "follow the instructions on the policy". He didn't want to explain this to me.
I made attempt to follow the cancellation policy to find the dealer was no longer in business so I contacted the same manager and he replied "oh yea, he sent us a letter that he was going out of business". He had no response to my question if he felt his company had an obligation to consumers when a dealer (comes to find out has history of loosing his lots).
I was asked to fax my information to AUL and of course I still have received confirmation, refund, nothing.
