After $2,400 overhaul, transmisson only last 7 months! Ripoff

In December I started having problems with my transmission. I took it to Aamco and they told me that work on the transmission would be anywhere from $1,000-$1,500. After they started, they claimed that I had all these other problems and that I would now cost $2,400.00 and I have would a complete overhaul done. I went ahead and let them do the work. They took over a week, and after me harassing them, I finally got my truck back.

In July I got in my truck to go somewhere and I noticed that it would not shift. I brought it to Aamco again and they claimed that it was my shifter sylenoid or whatever. Since it was under warranty they fixed it and I was back on the road in 1 day.

In February I was on the interstate and I heard something break loose and start rattling under my hood. I was able to make it home, but the rattling did not stop and it had got extremely louder. I had it chekec by a local mechanic and they said the the bolts had backed out of the torque converter and that whoever fixed my transmisson didnt seal them on like they were suppose to be.

Right after I got that fixed, my check engine light came back on. I thought nothing of it, but as soon as I went to go somewhere the truck would not shift again. It was doing the same thing that it did in July 05. I was able to make it to autozone and find out why the check engine light was on. Sure enough, it was the shift sylenoid.

I called Aamco back and spoke to Tracy Goldstein and told her what the problem was and explained to her that there is no reason for me to have any problem after spending $2,400 on a complete overhaul. She claimed that it cold be 100 diffeent problems with the transmssion, but i let her know that i had the syleniod replaced and that the printout from autozone said it was the same thing. She told me to bring the truck in so she can get it "checked out".

I know something is shady about this. Even though my warrany is up, I refuse to ay any more money. Another thing is I can't drive the truck there and I refuse to pay to have it towed there. I'm going there today to see what she says. I suggest anyone needing ANY automotive work stay away from there and Blackwells also.
