I just bought a used Land Rover in DE.in the state of PA you have to get PA registration within 10 days of transferring title to PA. I just got the car TWO days ago and took my car to Pep Boys to get my car inspected. I was in the waiting room and SAW one of the mechanics get into my car and drive off for 15 mins. It was soooo peculiar that 3 other customers also witnessed it and started making comments about them stealing my car. Anyways, long story short, I get my car and go home. Mind you, I haven't even walked into my house, I notice a big dent in my driver side corner bumper. IMMEDIATELY I call them as I am already in my car on the way back. The "manager" comes out and looks at my car and states that it was prior damage and that I just didn't notice it before. I don't know about you, but when you buy a used car that is something you look for... Signs of an accident! They refused to admit any fault whatsoever. The "manager" stated that the technician that worked on my car was there for 10 years and never had an incident before. (What?!?!?! That means he'll NEVER make a mistake?) They were downright rude. They told me that they never took my car anywhere! Mind you... Several customers, including me, SAW him drive away in my car. Which I understand that they have to do a test drive, but he was denying that they even did that! They called me a liar and I didn't see anything. When they checked my mileage there was 10 miles that they couldn't account for though. According to Pep Boys, supposedly the technician wrote my mileage down wrong. The police came and filed a report and now I have to sue them over it. I took the car immediately to a Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW body shop. Without saying a word about what happened to the bodyshop guy, he came out and looked at my car to do an estimate. He only knew that I JUST bought the car. He stated that someone hit my car and that it was only ever painted ONCE (unlike what pep boys was trying to say) and that matter of fact here's some red paint here from what they hit! Pep Boys told the cops that it was already damaged and they could see where it was painted over!!! Pep Boys called me a liar, wrecked my car and turned around and blamed ME for it! I got news for Pep Boys... I'm sueing!!!
