State Farm Ins Rip's off their insured's by assigning fault without conducting investigations as to who is at fault and are guilty of operating in bad faith. I caught them lying about it and reported them the the Az State insurance commission.
The Az State insurance Commission sent my complaint to State Farm who responded that their claims representative made an "error" in reading a log book and that a final decission of liability was still pending. This was despite the fact that their claims rep and an adjuster had examined my vecicle and had offered me a settlement less my $500 deductable.
Smart Money magazine (Feb 1999) states in their article that it is no secret that except for a few states, DOI's and insurance commissioners in reality generally are confirmed to be owned by insurance companies
I have been a state Farm insurer since 1982 and have not had a reportable accident, just one comprehensive claim (stolen truck) which was recovered with minor damage the door lock and ignition. My spouse and I have only 1 traffic offense in the past 40 yrs of driving. Even with an exemplary driving record and over 26 years as a Federal Law Enforcemnt Officer this is what you can expect from State Farm. Needless to say I will be looking for a new insurance provider as will my children and anyone else I can convince. My only option left is to go to small claims court which I plan to do in the near future.
