Dorsch Ford runs an operation out of their dealership called "Affordable Auto Credit" which is a total ripoff. They target credit-challenged individuals and claim to be understanding of problems, tell the customers that they will help them to re-build their credit, typical stuff.
When you actually go there and apply for financing, they approve you with virtually no questions. When it comes time to sign the papers, they suddenly tell you that the auto is a salvage vehicle and that your interest rate will be 25%. Of course, they still try to convince you that they are doing you a big favor by charging over blue-book prices at high interest rates.
Despite this, I was in a desparate situation and went ahead with the deal. After several months, I experienced significant health problems and got behind in payment. I immediately contacted them and told them about the situation and that I would catch up as soon as possible. I was told that this was acceptable. A short time later, I received a notice that they were taking me to court to repossess the vehicle.
Again, I contacted them and told them about the situation and the earlier communications. Again, they told me this was acceptable and that the repossession process would be stopped. About one week later, I received notice from the court that they did not stop the legal action and that a judgement had been awarded them. If I had known that they lied to me, I would have shown up for the court date and presented my side of things.
On December 26th, they sent two "thugs" over to my home who physically treatened me and took the vehicle. Because of this action, I had to miss holiday activites, and medical treatments.
Now, they are taking me to court again to try and recover additional money they claim I owe them for the "loss" they took on the vehicle. They refuse to try and work with me and I cannot afford to hire attorneys to help me fight back.
The manager, Mike Dorsch, and collections manager Tom Leander are not to be trusted. They will tell you something and then totally deny saying it.
