On sep 1st, I purchased approximately $10 in premium gasoline from SJC inc (Stans Highway SHell). The gasoline was used in a 1996 kawasaki ninja motorcycle. Immediately after the gas was pumped, the motorcycle ceased to run. The bike was referred to a local motorcycle shop, who stated, that the problem was caused by dirty fuel. The gas tank/fuel lines/filter, and 4 carbs were cleaned, as well as the spark plugs replaced. A copy of this repair bill, was given to Abby Hartman (District Manager), and delivered to Roger Distler (president). Abby stated she would take care of the problem. Roger has denied payment for repairs of approximately $250, stating that no other complaints were received. This is a outrighe lie, since there have been numerous complaints regarding fuel at sjc. Most notable, was a cadilac that needed the fule system cleaned, NUMEROUS diesel trucks.
All I ask, is re-embursement for the repair bill to the motorcycle, which I have clearly shown proof that caused the problem. The repair bill from the motorcycle shop, clearly stated that the damage was done due to dirty fuel.
I also have a statement from "Bill Shafer", former manager of the shell station, stating, that he also received numerous complaints and that there would no doubt be more, since at the time of the filling, the station was engaged in cleaning storage tanks. I also have statements from the tank cleaning personel, that the tanks from the look of them, had NEVER been cleaned, and that there was a large abundance of dirt in the tanks.
