Simi Valley Ford ripoff extended warranty is false, vehicle put together is defective parts falling off

In ref to My 2002 Ford Eddie Bauer Expedition that has under 24,000 miles on it, and that has the Ford Extended Warranty (that means nothing) on it, I have a major concern that I have tried to address, and NO ONE at Ford 800-392-3673, or via the Internet want to address.

I brought the truck in for several issues, one was a Large, long black steel bar (approx 36" long) that came from above my head, and while on the freeway driving it fell and hit me on the head.

At this point I am only asking that this be fixed, warranty or not, this IS NOT a user issue, this vehicle is in Pristine condition, hardly ever used, and NOT mis-treated. Less than 24,000 miles, a 2002 Ford Eddie Bauer Expedition.

A part like this should not fall on someones head while simply driving down the freeway! The headliner is not damaged, the sunroof still operates, things are not broken, just a 3 lb piece of steel fell.

My Ford dealer, Simi Valley Ford told me that it is not under warranty, and it would cost me $800 to fix. THIS IS ABSURD

I have called and filled out online forms on the Ford.com web site, and still no resolution other than, it is not under warranty. They reply after 3 days to their web site form, simply to ask me to call. I call, they say they will research it and promise a call back within 48 hours and two times NOTHING.

Now the third time I call again and they say they emailed an answer of NO REPAIR NOT WARRANTY, but there was no email ever received.

So today I asked while on the phone for the Ford Regional Managers phone number in Ventura County SO CAL, and they simply said, they can't give it out, this is an issue to take up with my local dealer. (the one who doesn't have a clue)

Is this a Ford vehicle? Or is this a situation that once Ford makes a vehicle, Ford no longer cares, and just pawns off the American public on their Ford franchise holders?

JUST MAYBE this is another one of those reasons so many people are switching from American to Foreign cars! Sure is coincidental that this seems to be the trend, and American manufacturers are cutting, cutting, cutting, losing sales, laying off, on and on and on.

I guess I can take the long extended route, lawyers, etc. Etc. Etc., but I thought I would give this one last try.

I can e-mail pictures to anyone who would like to see what fell on me.

Waiting for a response.

Thank you, Mike Schenck
