I purchased a used 2000 Honda Oddyssey Minivan from these people. Date of my purchase was Jan. This minivan had 17,000 miles and knowing that Honda is a good car and my wife was pregnant with our first daughter, I purchased it for $18,000 plus tax and extended warranty. Total was about $21,000. About 10 months later, my wife gets rear ended by another car. Not much damage just some scratches to the bumper but his insurance paid for the repairs. I took it to the honda dealer for the repairs and the next day I get a call from the estimator and he tells me that this car was previously repaird from another collision. I had no idea this happened so I get a carfax report. It doesn't shoe anything about an accident, but I see the reported miles from 2 years ago is 59,000 and the next year it was 13,000. Then I check my title and it reads the 17,000 that I bought it with but then it says "not actual mileage". I think this is BS since I thought I had a safe car for my wife and daughter.
So I call Carson Toyota and tell them the deal and fax the title over. The same day they issue me a check for the full amount that I payed $20,00. They still want me to look at some other cars and I agree. So we look at a Sienna minivan since we needed a van. I told them I didnt want to come out of pocket with anything, and I wanted to pay exactly what I paid for the used minivan since they could of put us in danger. No way did they budge so I just took the money and left to another dealer. I ended up getting a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country for under $20,000 out the door.
