Pikes Peak Acura
Did not do the honorable thing!

We traded in our 2005 Toyota Prius for a 2007 Honda Accord. Unbeknownst to us a salvage title had followed our Toyota Prius through our various military moves. We did not find this out until three weeks after the sale. When Acura called us to get the Toyota back. We said, OK. However, later they called back and said they did not want the Honda back, but wanted us to buy back our Prius, because they had put new tires and some work into it. We said that we would give the Honda back and pay for the work put into the Prius. They refused and said they would take us to court because we tried to trade in a salvaged car on them fraudulently. We did not know about the salvage, but it was their word against ours. So we ended up with ANOTHER car payment which we were trying to avoid when we bought back our Prius.By the way, when we got the Prius back it had electric problems wrong with it that were working fine at the time of the trade in. When we brought it to their attention they just said, "Oh well, buyer beware!" Thus, we are warning everyone we can... Do not buy a car from Pikes Peak Acura. They are less than honorable and will not work with you!

In addition, I want to add that they insisted on running a CarFax on the 2007 Honda for us. When we asked why they did not run one on our 2005 Toyota Prius (this would have brought the salvage title to our attention) they said that they could not afford it. I looked up the Car Fax website and found that you could run as many Car Faxes as you wanted for $45 a month. Don't tell me they can't afford that! It sounds more like somebody got lazy and we ended up paying for it!
