Greedy and inefficient ripoff

I read a complaint here and it sounds just like my sour experience I had at global. This is the letter I made to the customer service manager. My credit score came down from 662 to 594 after they run my credit trying to look for a loaner for me. It hurts a lot but I didnt have any choice because they are just too greedy and inefficient.

I drove home without a window sticker price and they said they will fax it to me after ordering it. How in the world did they lose my WINDOW STICKER PRICE. I asked the the very first day to give it to me but to no avail. CAME BACK TWICE THEY CANT GIVE IT TO ME!

The sales guy told me that he faxed it to my insurance but I called my insurance and nothing! I was promised 5 days and I called chevrolet to help me and they all said it will be mailed once they receive the order. They lost a window sticker price. ITS ILLEGAL! UNDER THE FEDERAL LAW, THAT LABEL SHOULD ONLY BE REMOVED BY THE ULTIMATE PURCHASER!

I emailed the customer service manager but nothing too! I wanted to post this to warn all first time buyers not to believe what they say in the advertisements. It's just to lure people and then be left without a choice after all the misleading practices. I read the other customer complaints about the 30K loan and when I was there I felt so bad for a guy who also felt the same. He also responded to an ad and when he came in he was told he was pre-qualified only and in the future he might be qualified.

Totally misleading. Now I know whay they say those things about car salesmen. God bless their souls. Just read my story and be careful out there.

This is my story:

Dear Mr. Garabed,
I recently purchased a car and I am not satisfied nor happy as a customer. I saw an ad and applied if Im approved and I scheduled an appointment after I was called that my application was accepted for 30,000 car loan. I knew it was too good to be true because I m just starting to build my credit history but I wanted to check it out myself. I went to global in the hopes of trying to get a nice deal which would fit my budget if ever.

I was not ready to bring home a car but I wanted to know what were my options. I could have gone home without any car and waited until I can come up with a neat amount of money as downpayment eventually if I have to. I told the salesmen that Im still going to school and have no money yet as downpayment and I can't afford to pay much. I really just wanted to find out If I can afford to lease or own a car and find out the rates and offers. I was ready to repair an old car that recently broke down unfortunately. The salesmen was very slick and they didnt care If I told them that I was not ready and we want to come back because we were tired and hungry.

It fell on deaf ears and offered us coffee and all the good words and made me feel that they were on my side. It was done in poor practice. They were very pushy and kept coming back with offers so we wouldnt leave. There was a blizzard that day and the manager said that he's giving me a nice offer so it's gonna be one car less for global to move before the snow storm comes.

I was sales talked and I agreed to the 229 a month, zero down they gave me coz It was getting to be inconvenient. I figured 229 wont hurt my budget and Im ok with it but thats my limit. We brought the car home (since I didnt know and just fell for the trap since I was a first time buyer). I came back to finalize the contract 5 days after that and In full shock and horror I was being informed that I wasn't granted the lease! I was being shown a paper of how much I would end up paying from another loaner. It's to purchase the car so I said no way. It was 366 a month for 66 months. I complained and he called the sales manager. He said there was a problem and he called somebody and asked a favor and came back with a 279 a month lease.

In the contract (all typewritten now) was 279 a month. I was just so upset bacause I feel like Ive been taken advantaged of. It just hurts very much because I was told over and over that its because I have no downpayment and I wasnt approved. It's not my fault anymore because I was misled over and over. Its just so disgusting that now I have no choice but pay up the 279 thats quite uncomfortable for me.

The manager just kept saying that It's a good deal and one even said nobody put a gun in my head when I drove it home. I even heard somebody trying to pacify me that the salesmen didnt even profit from it. That is not my point sad to say, I could own and buy a lexus or any high end car as long as I'm happy paying for it and not feel that Ive been railroaded by these people.

I laid out the facts and wanted to have that satisfaction of understanding the deal. There was a lot of lies and its unfair but they were just throwing it at me coz I signed those temporary purchase, delivery orders etc. It was a nightmare buying a car in global and I will not recommend it again to any of my friends or relatives.
