Please be advised that this particular company works on a very unethical, unprofessional way. Let me tell you my personal experience and then you can judge by yourself. My report is based on the ultrasound sales division or mainly about their sales department.
My prtners and me were looking for a high end ultrasound machine, specifically the GE E8 (top of the line in GE). I contacted providian and the sales person at first trien to get me to buy something else but within a couple of days he told me he had a 2008 machine in perfect conditions. The next couple of days I spent doing my research of probes and parts to see if the price was good and the machine was worth the shot.indeed at 64k the system was a good deal. All this time I was getting 2-3 phone calls a day to pressure me into buying it since they had other ppl interested and the sales guy didnt want me to loose the chance. Finally I signed the contract and the leasing/finance department contacted me, again rushing me and pressuring me to get it all done quickly to secure my equipment. Within two weeks the whole transaction was done.
At this point I contacted them and gave them the shipping address and thats when everything went sour!
I waited a wk and called them again, the sales guy now wouldnt answer the phone or take forever to respond (while 2 wks earlier he was answering me within minutes). First lie was "the shipping coordinator is out of town but will be back in 3 days". Three days after they told me that they are waiting on the expected day of shipping and that it should be any day. A wk went by... After these lies, they told me that my machine was being certified by GE and that it might take a while cause there are rigorous standards to be met before they ship it. 2wks went by... At this point I called and demanded a shipping date (hundreds of unanswered calls), when they finally got back to me he told me that THEY DIDNT HAVE MY MACHINE!!! That the guy that was selling it to them backed out of the deal and that there is nothing they can do. (BTW I had already made my first lease payment since a month had gone by). He then offered a lower end machine for the same price!!! Since they just couldnt get another like the one I bought for such a good deal. I said NO and the sales guy said he is gona look for me to see what can be done. He calls me and says that he found one but it might take 1 month to get it ready but that he will get me a loaner on the meantime. Calls and calls for 2 wks and no loaner. Finally we called a manager ther who had not heard of a loaner and told us that they definately didnt have a machine like the one we purchased. After 2 months he offered the money back at which point we demanded that ASAP. Still they had the nerve to offer us other machines at a discounted price!!!
Its been less than a week since the money back offer but if I dont get it soon I will create an addendum here.
Just know that if you are buying from them they might not have what they offer and they will give you the run around just to try and get it while you are already paying for something you dont have. Beware.
