When the transmission was under warranty the issues were only patched and not truely fixed. I now have the same issues of trasmission slippage, noise and am now required to replace a transmission pan gasket for a 3rd time. When I bring the issues to their attention they do not resolve them but put the focus on other components of the vehicle. AAMCO never stood behind their warranty.
I needed the transmission to no longer leak and to perform as I had originally paid for ($2,700.00) How can a transmission even start leaking after it has been replaced or refurbished? How can it be leaking again for a 3rd time? It never should have had leaks in the first place. If I was out of warrant the Aamco shop should have never touched my vehicle. Being they did service my vehicle for the 2nd leak they are again responsible for the replacement of the gasket once again. This transmission should not be leaking after 3 attempts let alone the initial replacement of the transmission. My last attempt to get this resolved the owner said he would get the gasket. 3 days later he refused to help???
The owner lied to headquaters of AAMCO and said that I was no longer ever allowed in his shops. My girlfriend was with me the day that they were looking at the car. I was polite and I was not there to cause an issue. I just wanted my leak fixed. AAMCO headquaters never helped me and took the owners side and protected him.
I have confirmation of a main seal leak by another automotive repair shop. AAMCO ripped me off and never took care of what they should when it was under warranty. They only delayed the repair until they legally were no longer responsible.
