Fletcher Jones Toyota
Las Vegas Lied to me in order to sell me the vehicle

To whom it may Concern,
I believe I was overcharged on the value of the vehicle I just purchased. It has been less than thirty days since I drove off the lot. If you look at my info from my vin you will see I purchased a 2004 V6 Double cab prerunner 4x2. I was charged $26995 for it believing that was with everything included (taxes and all applicable fees, out the door) To be honest I did not check before I sat down with the dealer to get an actual idea of what the car was selling for. So I took it on good faith that I was being dealt with fairly.

Two hours after I purchased the truck I cam home and checked online for comparable prices thru KBB and saw that the truck I just purchased was listed at $21000... So to my dismay I returned to the dealer and voiced my concerns. They told me that I hadnt been taken advantage of and they said a manager had typed it in wrong... Sure. So after them speaking with me I went home feeling a little better. They said I could not return it and that was that (what about satisfaction guarranteed). I recently read there is a three day return policy or something like that in Nevada. The point is they lied straight to my face and said I could not return the vehicle. The kicker is what lead me in there was a flyer that had come out that there was 4000 dollars off on all repos and the bank was there that day too. So the price of the vehicle from the price he ended up selling it to me for should have been 22000 plus my trade bring it down to 20500. With taxes on that and the premium service package it should have come to just about 25000 Total!

So I go to sign up at the toyota official website and what do I see when I search for certified preowned toyotas on this site within 25 miles of my zip... 3 of the same vehicles and one with 11000 miles (compared to mine with 18500) on it for just about $3000 less than the one I happen to be driving now. Oh and by coincindence it happens to be from the same dealership I purchased my vehicle from. So the next guy who unsusspectedly goes in there and is just told oh it was a type-o when he gets overcharged for it is just supposed to accept it. Yeah right!

So as a result with the base price and added fees that I thought were included within the $26995 total, my final price is up to $30000. Do you think even after getting 1500 for my trade in, the truck I purchased minus the Platinum ($1395) service package is worth what I paid for it. I dont think so and I believe you would agree.
Another thing is that since I see another similar vehicle on the site rather than KBB listed for 24000 with all the same stuff except red and with 7000 less mile from the same dealer as the one I purchased from it justed happends to be a common mistake... Sure.
So my point being that I was taken advantage of as a new car buyer well slightly new and I am very unhappy with how things have worked out. I believe that I was overcharded and as a result my taxable selling price though nominal is higher (500 more), the amount needed to be finaced from the bank is higher and therefore my payments are higher.

Had I gotten the truck for what I was told I would get it for with everything included you wouldn't be hearing from me.

I wanted to return it but they told me I cant. Whats up with that (reminding you that I had gone back less than two hours after I drove off the lot and was told that I could not return it).

If I keep this vehicle over the next 6 years its going to cost me close to $45000. Now had I gotten the vehicle for what it was actually worth then I would be paying overall a lot less. So if there is anyone out there who can help me please contact me... in the meantime I will be calling lawyers to try and figure out what I can do.

Sincerly
Unhappy Toyota Owner

P.S. Its not that I am unhapy with the product its the way I was handled purchasing it (lied to my face and overcharged)

Whatever I asked I was told yes, anything to get me in the car. I feel I was taken advantage of and am unhappy with my first purchase of a new well slightly new vehicle
