I went to this convienence store to get gas and sodas. I asked if they accepted personal checks. The older blonde lady told me it depends on where the check is from. I showed her it was from Woodforest National Bank, then she said my home street name aloud and said no because of the street I live on.
I have never written a check here before, the bank I'm with has Checkpay. Which is a service that if you do not have enough funds in your account to cover the check they pay it anyway and charge you a fee, not the place of bussiness I write the check to.
If anyone has any info or advice on how discriminating it is because of the street you live on, please let me know. I would get an attorney if I thought this would lead somewhere. But I don't want to waste my money if it is not worth it. My husband always goes there because it is on his way home from work, well he won't be anymore.
