It all started 6 months after I bought my Dodge Caravan. The rotors fell apart (Note the breaks were still good hardly worn) I was told by the dealer that rotors are not covered with the warranty. And was given the 800 # to call in a complaint. I made the repair and called in the complaint.
I was told that rotors are not covered I explained that the rotors just fell apart (a section about the size of a Quarter fell out) the brakes were good and could not have caused the damage to the rotor. They said the rotors are not covered I explained how this is most definitely a manufacture defect and that I had replaced it my self and was just trying to be reimbursed the $125 that it cost me for the new rotor. She said (the person on the phone representing Dodge) You aint getting that I said I want to talk to your supervisor and she said I'm all you get honey I said I will never buy another Dodge as long as I live and She said We Don't Care I said I will call the Better business bureau and tell everyone how I am being treated and again she said We Don't Care I hung up.
Well since then I have replaced the transmission 3 times and the tow truck driver said every Dodge he tows is because of the transmission. The thing is this van never gives you a warning it goes fine until its broken I have never been stranded more buy any vehicle than I have with this one, and most always around 100 miles from home. There have been several other problems that would be to much to get into right now.
My opinion is Dodge makes Junk and don't really care about the customer, I will never Buy Another Dodge as long as I Live or say anything good about the company. My advice to who ever reads this is if you are thinking about buying a Dodge BUY SOMETHING ELSE you have been warned. If you don't head my warning do yourself a favor and buy the best warranty offered you will need it. But remember it won't cover rotors.
