On July 12, over the phone, I purchased an auto warrany from Joan Conti at Royal Protection Plan of America, owned by Heritage Warranty Insurance. At that time, she told me that if I found a better warranty, I had 60 days to cancel theirs and receive a refund immediately. I received the policy on July 25th and it was for a higher premium than quoted. I had given Joan a downpayment of $500.00 over the phone from my credit card/debit card. I called RPP and asked to cancel. They said no problem, but I needed to send them the original back with cancel written on it. I did this, and they confirmed they had received it on August 3rd. To date, they have not sent me or credited by card the $500.00 refund. Everyday they give me a different story and tell me they are doing it, but they never do. I suspect they are trying to wait till the 60 days are up and not refund it at all. This is insurance fraud and this company should be shut down.
