Dear readers
I bought the Dodge caravan LE 1999 also with the extended warranty for 75,000 miles or 72 months.
I want to make a point for people to a buy Dodge car...
My car recently made strange noise. I took the car to Dodge dealer (Capitol Dodge California San Jose). The mechanics found my engine belt damaged... And also found a broken bolt tensioner. This bolt was broken and then caused damage to the belt.
Anyway, I have to pay for the belt change and the replacement tensioner bolt for the amount 269.55 dollars. And my extended warranty is not covered." No way to discuss about it"
My car actually has 45,000 miles. If the belt worn out for at least 60,000 miles I won't have any complaint about their product... Unfortunately, the broken tensioner bolt caused damage to the belt.in order to prove to Dodge consumer their design/product liabilities is not meet with the standard and safety concern.
This is my second experience. The first experience with my 1992 Dodge Caravan I got the Power stirring and Tramission (replaced twice) those problems happenned after four or five month later... I was lucky with my extended warranty at that time. Otherwise, I don't know what to do... With the new car...
This is my last time. No more Dodge car for my utility unless Dodge solve this problem.
I felt ripped off for the warranty that I paid, make me worry for what will happened in the future to my car??? Waste my time, beside I have to postpone everything I plan for my schedule.
Please follow up or e-mail to people have or not have yet problem with Dodge.
The victime
