On 6/27/05 I made a deal with Pat Clark GMC to buy a Yukon XL for $38k @ 2.9% financing. I met with financing director Cyndi Berger, signed the docs, and was good to go. I was having a dvd installed, so I left the vehicle with them so they could perform the work. The next day cyndi calls me and says she couldnt get financing the way the deal stood. Cyndi told me I would need to put $1k down, and Gmac would pick up the deal.
I said then that means the deal is null and void, and she said yes, that was the case. I told her that since she could not honor the original deal I was no longer interested in buying the suv. Cyndi responds fine, and hangs up. I then get a call from William Francis the Internet Mgr. (my salesman) who says just sign some new docs, and they will throw in a extended warranty.
I tell him I am no longer interested in buying the vehicle, to which he responds that since the deal is null and void I have an out. I thank him for all his work and he responds that if I change my mind please consider him down the road. Well, on 7/2/05 I come home to find a meesage from Ken the General Sales Mgr.
I call him and he tells me the General Mgr. Of the dealership went to bat for me at Gmac financing, got the deal done somehow, and come pick up your rig. I said no, the deal is null and void, per Cyndi and William. Ken hangs up and William calls me saying they have my signature on contract, come pick up my rig, and hangs up.
I smell a rat!
I intend to call GMAC financing and request all docs pertaining to my financing. How could they not finance me the first time, and lo and behold the second time -presto. I believe fraud is involved. I will be contacting my lawyer, the DMV, Attorney Generals Office, Corporate GMC, and the Regional President for Gmc/Western Division. I do believe war has been declared!
