On April 2 I went to Toyota of Richmond to purchase a Toyota Prius. When doing the Financing the original financing 13.9% and I thought that was high and I wanted a lower interest rate. The financial manager Todd A. Lewis said to me he could not do it over the weekend and he thought he could get the lower interest rate for me.
In our original contract I made it clear I did not want a extended warranty. I returned to toyota on monday and they had a lower interest rate of 10.15%, I was going to receive this interest rate if I agree to purchase GAP Insurance for which I agreed to purchase. I signed the contract. The next day I reveiwed my contract and realized the finacial manager had added the extended warranty to the new contract I wish I had kept my original contract but the finacial manager tore up his and my copys as soon as i signed the new contract which I should have looked at closely again but never thought a dealership would pull such a scam.
I called the dealership and tried to get the problem resolved with no luck. I wanted a new contract without the warranty added and they refused. They said the loan had already been processed and could not be changed. I am not Happy with this.
