I was informed by my salesman, Chris, that my interest rate would be quoted at 29%, but that it could potentially be lower depending on my credit. After a few days, bwp calls me cback and hassles me to upgrade my pool and add over $20,000 to my original purchase price, but I would have a lower interest rate. I refused, and Summer directed my call to Kevin, who was very rude and insalting to say the least. Finally, I was given my original agreed upon package, but the interest rate was still quoted at 29%. Very high, but I was planning to pay off pool within first year, so I agreed. Well, when installers came to house, the finance contract had a quote of 34.698%. Makes no sense to me, because the monthly payment did not change. Well come to find out, the monthly payment that they quoted from the very beginning is based on the 334.698%. That is fraudulent. Also on the day of installation, they wanted me to sign a paper stating that they could change anything in my contract, including financing after I have already signed the contract. I have had my attorney reveiw this pap[er and he even advised me not to sign it. Another affidavit they wanted me to sign was stating that they did not misrepresent financing, unfair or deceptive acts, and that they can increase my interest rate after the 3 day cancellation period has expired! Unbelievable! Again I refused to sign this. Why woulod lthey make you sign this, unless they really were misleading and fraudulent in their business. Purchasing a pool from bwp has been nothing but a hassle for me. I will not recommend this companyto anyone, and I do suggest that if you have been scammed by them, then please report it to the BBB. That is the only way anything will change and this complany will be reported accurately for what they are.
