This was our first transaction on Ebay. We purchased a motorcycle from an individual named Kevin Doyle who was registered on the Ebay site.
The deal was confirmed through their site "Square Trade". The money was wired to Western Union as Square Deal instructed us. The motorcyle was NEVER delivered to us.
Western Union told us that the Square Trade is used on Ebay through Ebay Motors. But that they had some suspicion that the individual Kevin Doyle from Ebay, in fact wrote the mail himself and was misrepresented Ebay Motors site by writing the email as if he was Square Trade himself.
The individual on Ebay, who used Square Trade through Ebay Motors told us that the money would not released until the motorcycle was delivered and we were satisfied.
In fact, Western Union told us that they gave the money to Kevin Doyle the next morning and that their policies are to give the money to anyone who produces the proper identification.
So we would like to inform Ebay of this Fradulent transaction. It was a large sum of money. $6800.00. This individual should be taken off Ebay forever and researched. This must be happening to other people alot too. A warning on EBay should be put out that it is not safe to use Ebay or Square Trade. Because the emails you receive from Square Trade to make the deal are fraudulent. You are not dealing with Square Trade as you are led to believe.
Is there anything we can do? We do not have the motorcycle
