In March used car salesmen, Dinga, Schultz, Oberman and Flores at Mullinax charged TK Roberts $100 for license/title work fees to trade in the 1991 Infiniti for a Nissan Frontier. We just received a tow company letter saying Roberts is still the listed owner of the Infiniti!
Apparently, the dealer just sent the car to Odessa auction without doing any title transfer, and the auction "went out of business" So, the dealer did not do the work he was paid for in transferring title. We should be refunded this money, plus interest since the transaction occurred.
We have had to spend hours down at the tow company, the state DMV and at Mullinax to prove the title should not have Roberts' name, when Mullinax used car salesmen should have done this in 2002 when the transaction originally occurred!
Of course, the tow company, the state and Mullinax claim what was done is "entirely legal". Well, it's also a rip-off to consumers to pay for a service that is not performed!
Besides that, be aware that Mullinax did not prep the Frontier before delivery to us. Roberts took it back because it had insect infestation, no gas in the tank, a dead battery and half of the back seat was soaked with a red, sugary drink! Obviously, the "service" at this dealership leaves a heck of a lot to be desired.
