What is going on with geico
Me and several other employees have been terminated for no apparent reason. We worked in sales and all of a sudden the phones are not ringing anymore, but we were glad of that. It appears that no one is interested in purchasing the insurance. From recent reports we have read that the company was not doing all that great, but we were told that since it was a Warren Bugget, Berkshire Hathaway company we would never have anything to worry about and that the company never did any layoffs.
However lately before we were let go we found out that Mr. Buffet's companies and other subsidiaries such as Geico were under fire by the SEC and that Mr. Buffet was not gaining much if any profit with his interest in GEICO. There is so much stress over there we are glad we are gone. It is a terrible place to be, we got tired of trying to force people to pay those high prices for their insurance. It was very hard to sell and people were always complaining about the high prices we were quoting them.
They always said they only called because the TV commercials told them that they would save money.
That was not the truth Geico hardly saved anyone any money and the only people that that saved money would be 2 or 3 dollars. They wanted to beat State Farm Insurance, but that will never happen. State Farm is a much more reliable company and we also found that people like dealing with live agents. They did not trust us being that we were direct and over the phone. They were not sure if the company was real.
In my opinion after being fired, I am not so sure that they are real either. They are full of crap. They ripped me off by making me think they were a company of integrity
