On November 22, I purchased a 4.3 liter V6 Chevy engine from ASAP Motors and picked it up at their site. On the next day, upon prepping the engine for installation into the car, I found that water had leaked into the intake maifold at one time and as a consequence, most of the valves and valve guides were
"rust-locked", rendering the engine unuseable.
I called ASAP Motors immediately and was authorized to return the engine. Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, the soonest they could receive the engine was November 29. I returned the engine promptly at 9:30 AM that morning. Dina, a principal in the company, charged me a 20% restocking fee, refused to refund the sales tax paid, and refused to refund the oil disposal fee paid, all contrary to contract.
I have since filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General of Texas Office, and am presently in the process of filing a small claims lawsuit. I strongly suggest that anyone avoid doing business with this company, they are not moral or ethical in their business dealings and will not support their contract/warantee.
