I ordered an engine and transmission from ASAP Motors in Houston. When I recieved the engine and got ready to install it I noticed that the bolt hole locations made on the engine block were broke off and therefore I could not install an engine mount in that location.
The transmission aslo had some parts broken off. I have since contacted ASAP no less that 13 times to be refunded for the engine which I have already returned to them. I am being told that there is a 20% restocking fee to restock the defective engine. First of all, why would you restock a defective engine unless you were planning on trying to rip off someone else with it? Second there own web site says "All non-defective returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. We will issue a refund for the product when your return meets these guidelines. The cost of shipping will be credited only in those instances where the return is a result of our error." Every time I speak with someone there they seam to forget about our previous conversaions and want to start all over again.
Whatever you do, do not, under any cicumstatnces order anything from this company. They do not have any reguard for customer satisfaction.
