As I was reading in other reports, I was astonished at how many similarities they all have. I bought an '04 Ford Escape in June '04, and the sticker was 20K. "Outlaw" sold me the car, which was suppose to be one of my aunt's friend, and sold my aunt one as well.
They gave me 4k for my trade in, and that left me with 800 for a down payment. The payments were suppose to be 430.00 a month and an intrest rate of 6.9%. Everything was so, that is until 2 days later. I recieved a phone call from the finance department saying that I needed to come back up there to sign some additional paper work. I advised that I had already signed all necessary paperwork, but they demanded for me to come up there.
When I arrived, they had a new contract ready saying that Ford Motor Credit no longer accept co-signers, so I have to go with Compass bank, and that was the only person who would accept me. I was told that nothing on the contract had changed and I was rushed through signing all of the papers. *Keep in mind that I thought that this guy was my aunt's friend. I stated that since I was up there, they could go ahead and fill my car with gas and wash it for me since this was not done when I originally bought my car. Outlaw told me that since I bought a used car, I did not recieve that option. I was also told that since I was a family memeber of the friend, I would recieve an extended warranty at no extra charge.
This was too good to be true! And it was! I get home and have time to stop and read the "new and improved" contract, notcicing that my payments are 525.00 per month, and my intrest rate is 13.9%!!! As well, I was charged for gap, the extended coverage, theft guard, and 200.00 valve stem covers!!! A total of $5,000.00 I had "outlaw's" number on hand, so I gave him a call. I started out friendly and asked how he was doing and he said that he was fine and he was on his way to go see a movie. I then explained to him what was going on and he replied back screaming: "Don't ask me about it, call that fu*ing n*gger (very racial comment) who financed you!" then hung up the phone on me. Now with me having post-partum depression, I broke down in tears, thinking how am I going to be able to afford these payments with a newborn? I was not going to let this happen. I went and spoke with Joanna Webber about this and she said that she would correct this situation, and she even filled my tank up with gas. She called me the next day and left a voice mail, which I still have, saying that everything was back to as promised, and to come up and sign the new contract.
I went up and spoke with Kevin Hurlehee? And he was very rude with me and told me that a deal is a deal, basically, and that I could sign the new contract or keep the current one. I screamed and shouted and left and went to talk to Joanna Webber. While I was waiting in the show room, Joanna walked by, I called her name, and she did not turn and look. I then had the receptionist call her and she came, after about 15 minutes of waiting. I then explained to her of what was going on and asked if ther was somebody that I could speak to higher than she, and she advised that she was the highest person possible. She gave me a number for the Ford MC, which did no good, the number was suppose to be Ford's Corporate office.
By this time, I am outraged, and I am calling everyday, all day to get this situation cleared. Finally, I spoke with Kevin Dean, and he stated that he could ge me in a new '05 Ford Explorer for cheaper and he would give me an outrageous deal on it. I go in and after waiting for about 45 minutes to speak with him, he has somebody come out and tell me that he is gone. I stated that I was suppose to meet with him and this is urgent b/c I scheduled this and I took off work to get this issue resolved. He then invited me into his office, which is in the front and he had been sitting at his desk all along. We discussed a few things and I explained to him how I have been discriminated b/c I was a lady on a car lot. He let me pick out my car, I recievied an '04
Escape, fully loaded, for 8k cheaper! And everything on this car seemed good, contract and all. That is until I notice that my car has 11 files from Carfax.com, which no salvage title was mentioned, and the tiltle was not even signed. An '04 Escape, with 13k miles on it w / 11 files! I got screwed again!!! Also, my leather on one of my seats was coming up, and I went to the body shop for them to fix it, and they keep on telling me that I need to come back at 7am so that they will have time to get to me. I guess Westway is only concerned about money, they don't want to fix my seat b/c it is coming out of there pocket! The funny thing is, my aunt bought an '04 F-150, and the same exact thing happened to her!!! And an even better thing, she went to go get the firs oil change, and the vin number pulled up more miles than what the odomoter said! Imagine that? Westway Ford is the most scandalist car dealership that has ever been on the face of this earth. Don't buy your car from a guy named "outlaw" or "cowboy", the names just sound like criminals!!!
