Harrelson Nissan Rock Hill lie, cheat, steal from a CHILD!

We visited the Dealership to purchase a used car for our Daughter.

We were met just like at any car dealership with a handshake and how can we help. The test drive went well, which brought us to the next step; bring the car home to have our Daughter review the car.

She drove the car and approved but on our way back to the dealership with noticed an unnatural clunking sound out of the front end. Upon our return the dealership we made them aware of our interest in the vehicle and the sound that it was making.in turn they quickly whisked the car away to be looked at by service. We then left and went to lunch while they tried to diagnose the issue (I also bought lunch for our salesperson). They got back to us quickly defining the problem and what they needed to do to fix it. They Stated that the part needed to be ordered, but would be there the next day, and the car repaired the next day. This is when we decided to go drive another vehicle at another dealership to compare; same make and year to see and feel how the vehicle drove.

We then decided (the same day and about 2 hours later) to buy the car at Harrelson after it was repaired.

Excited we went home to pick up our Daughter to then go to the dealership. (This when she realized she had left her purse in the glove box of the vehicle during her test drive.) We called the dealership ASAP. The sales person told us the car had not been driven since we left the dealership and had been in the service area locked since we left BUT upon the salespersons inspection the purse was gone. We showed up
minutes after the call ended and also inspected the car to confirm indeed the purse was gone. Quickly, the Sales Manager and Service Manager outlined to us that only they and the salesperson had been in the car since we left and the car had not been driven since we left or had anyone else been in the car. We then requested they call the police which resulted in a complete police report. The Salesperson could not apologize enough but their Sales and Service Manager became distant and never apologized that evening.

It was only the next day we received a follow up call from the Sales Manager asking us how we would like to
proceed with buying the car. He did make mention of the theft calling it unfortunate (Unfortunate indeed, the purse had all my Daughters gift cards and money she received the day before for Christmas from all our family members totaling better then $500. Even the purse itself was a gift.) he then said he might help us on the price of the car because of this issue..

Call me stupid here but even with the theft, we still wanted to move forward on purchasing the car and were willing to wait for its repair and re-evaluation test drive by us to make sure all was well. We navely assumed that the dealership would do the right thing and offer to replace what was stolen from our daughter on their property under their watch!

In short, we have had to do all the follow up on the cars status, the repair took 6 days and it was not until 01/10 that we found out our salesperson magically does not work there anymore (he shared with us that that might fire him over this issue), the price quoted to us was list and no additional effort made by the dealership to compensate our daughters loss. I additionally made several requests at various different exchanges to speak with the Ownership but was told the standard They are not here right now every time but are aware and would get back to us. It never happened.

I strongly suggest anyone thinking of buying or servicing a car at this dealership go and read all the public records available about Harrelson
