USPS Retaliates Against an Elderly and Disabled Person - USPS Delivery Services

It is disheartening to know how the postal service would think to retaliate against an elderly or the disabled customers who report stolen mail or the stamps which are removed from their mail and never delivered to their destination. This occurred on 10/29 and, thereafter, my mother and I have been receiving late mail delivered two to three weeks after.

When we do receive mail it is written all over telling us to correct the address as if we are responsible for the error the company makes in forgetting to put the apartment number or wrong address. For example, the words written reads, "Correct This address Please it Causes Problems". I am writing it as the person wrote it. The mail carrier or deliverer should not have marked this or any envelope. The post office should use professionalism in handling matters as such. A letter should be addressed to the person living at the address as opposed to marking their mail. It is obvious that on this letter the building number had an extra 2 added because it was a typo. I have called the USPS on 10/29, 10/31, and 12/15 to complain about the services and treatment customers receive from the Triborough Station Post Office in Harlem.

The person who was in charge of contacting me argued over something she had no proof of and something I could easily prove. I send my husband mail from my mother's address when I am visiting her. A letter lingered in the post office for days and was returned to the senders address because it had no postage. However, I inspected the envelope and the envelope was torn where I had placed the stamp as if someone purposely removed the stamp and returned it stating that it had no stamp. I have the letter to this date without ever opening it.

This is outrageous and poor professionalism. The post office retaliates against customers who complain. The workers are not really penalized and usually the supervisors and managers cover up for their workers misbehavior or support the behavior. I have had so many packages stolen and undelivered by the USPS. I cannot understand how this station was awarded for outstanding service to the public when they insult their clients, steal and sabotage their mail, and retaliate against the elderly and/or disabled when submitting complaints.

This post office should be investigated by agencies who have jurisdiction over them. It is a violation of federal laws to steal, sabotage, or retaliate against customers, especially those who are elderly and disabled.
