I worked for Domino's Pizza off and on for about two years. On January 16 it was snowing and I requested that I not deliver. I offered to help inside instead. The store manager, Ellen Tucker, said that I had to deliver. She also stated that everyone had to come in to work in the snow. But she didn't come in to work. She stayed at home.
That night I was hit head on by a truck. I broke my neck and shattered my foot. Domino's tried telling me that they were not the least bit responsible. I had to have a lawyer file worker's comp for me. Once I was released back to work by the dr, Domino's only allowed me to work one hour a week. They would offer me more hours then call before my time to come in and tell me that they didn't need me that day after all. I ended up quiting.
We still ordered from them from time to time after that.in January we ordered plain chicken wings and for some reason, they were drenched in hot sauce. We contacted them to let someone know about this and they refused to let us talk to the manager.
We didn't order again until yesterday afternoon. We called to place an order for delivery. They deliver 7 miles north, I know this, because I worked there. They started taking my order until they realized who I was. Then they claimed they didn't deliver here any longer and could not meet us anywhere. Then got off the phone before I could change it to pick up.
My husband called back about ten minutes later and inquired about the delivery area. They, not knowing who it was, told him their delivery area, which goes further north than our house.
We were intentionally lied to and I feel discriminated against because of this.
They intentionally cut my hours after I was injured on the job and now they refuse to allow us service there as well. I have made a complaint against them with the corperation and am considering talking to an attorney as well.
I feel they owe me an explanation for their behavior and an apology. They put me in danger, after I requested not to be, the store manager didn't even show up after she threatened my job, and now refuse me service.
