Last night I and My family went out for a nice family dinner to Skipper's Seafood and Chowderhouse on 1260 Hway 2 in West Kalispell. We have never had any problems before but after last night we are not sure we want to ever go back.
Four of us ordered the all-you-can-eat menu and at first things were fine. Then came the time to go up for seconds. Me and my brother took our baskets up there, as well as my mother's and asked for each of our orders.instead of bringing my brother's basket back they combined both of our orders into one basket, thus making it difficult to eat our fish.
It took another ten or fifteen minutes for my mother's order to arrive. My father then went up and asked for seconds but ended up waiting nearly a whole hour for his basket to finally come. After that the wait for our refills got longer and longer. The excuse was that they were behind from all the people eating. However there were only six families—in the whole place that was built to seat at least a hundred people. Yet they couldn't keep up with six small families.
On top of that we got a lot of attitude. When my father commented that he was surprised at the slow service because he'd never seen Skipper's so disorganized, the employee said "I don't care, I'm quitting tommorrow". The attitude that customer service doesn't matter to someone because they are quitting is downright dispicable. We were not the only ones being badly serviced either.
Another customer had mistakenly ordered the "British" all-you can eat under the impression that it was cooked the same as the regular—an impression that they purposely imply. They make the british version look exactly the same on their ads but in reality they are cooked an entirely different way and are extremely small nuggets of fish rather than the fillets they claim them to be.
The customer simply pointed out that he had ordered the wrong dish and asked that they bring him the american from then on. They refused and said he was only going to be allowed british version. The customer ended up being offended and left a moment later.
