Ltt gourmet foods reports false credit information to the credit bureaus in order to damage my family's credit worthiness

Last November we had a presentation of LTT FOODS. My wife and I signed the contract and our son wrote a check for the deposit even though he did not sign the contract.

The next day we called Ltt Foods to cancel because we realized we were not ready. We soon received a letter from them, with my son's check, acknowledging our cancellation.

This February we reconsidered and contacted them. My wife stated that we wanted to try it out. The freezer and the food were delivered Wednesday evening, and after examining the food and umwilling to eat it we decided that It was not the "FINEST IN THE WORLD GOURMET QUALITY FOOD" as told in presentation.

On Thursday, second day, my wife called to cancel and "Marlene" the customer rep. Seemed upset that we were cancelling and tried to convince us not to cancel.

She also stated that our three days had passed AND that were responsible for a restocking fee (which was never previously told to us nor was it stated on the cancelled contract), if they were to come and pick up the freezer and food. Apparently, she was trying to inforce last year's cancelled contract! We were caught off guard and did not know what to say, but we told her that she could not revive a cancelled contract.

On Friday the third day, we called again to cancel, and this time "Marlene" threatened us stating that they were going to take us to court, that she had recorded my wife's comments and that they were going to damage our credit.

I then faxed a letter to Vahagn Mkrtchyan (manager or owner?) explaining that they cannot resurrect a contract that had been cancelled last year, also when the freezer and food were finally delivered this time, their deliverymen should have brought a new contract for us to sign and, we had cancelled within the three days even without them bringing a new contract to sign.

I never received a response to my fax. Days later "Bill" calls us to arrange a pickup date.By them picking up the food and freezer LTT acknowledeged the absence of a lawful contract for had their been one, they would not have retrieved the items.

I felt that everything was resolved, when two weeks later I get a call from "Wendy" at their legal office stating that we owe $796 rstocking fee. I informed her that I had faxed the company explaining what had happened, that there was no contract signed
when the food was delivered, and that I had documention to prove that we are not liable. She stated that she would send me paperwork so I could send her copies of my documentation.

I never received anything from her. About two weeks later I receive another call from her again billing me the restocking fee, and this time I faxed her the documentation. I never received a response after that and again I assumed everything was
resolved.

A few months ago, we went to a car dearlership because my son and I we considering buying a car. Through a credit report there, we discovered that LTT had damaged my son's, wife's and my credit. Had we not gone to the dealership we would not have known about this! LTT damaged our credit as they had threatened us and we believe, acted in bad faith.

I am not writing this to defame LTT but to warn consumers to be careful and ask many "WHAT IF" questions before you consider to sign up with a food vendor!
