I came across NEW YORK PRIME FOODS at a Street Fair and the whole concept sounded interesting. I called them and a saleman came out and made his pitch. I knew I would be overpaying for the food, but if the quality was what was described, I decided the convenience was worth it.
Along with the food pitch, came the overpriced freezer. However, along with the freezer was a lifetime guarantee that if it ever broke, the company would fix or replace it. Also, if a power outage or breaking of the freezer occurred, the company would replace all of the food at no cost.
Well, when the bill came, the interest rate was 21%. I realized at the time that I was going to be paying over $4,000.00 for a freezer. I decided NOT to reorder from them.
The way the contract was written and the way the sales person explained things to me was that I would be making payments of $112.00 but they would take off some money from my food orders to make it an even swap and thus making the freezer practically free. Let me tell you... This is not the case at all. They lied they lied and they lied.
