LTT sales rep Brad Healy came to our home with his very well planned, canned and high-pressure "schpeel", claiming he didn't want to change the way we ate, only make it better! Claimed their prime quality meat was restaurant quality - equal to Ruth's Crisp.
Written claims were, "We want all our customers to be 100% satisfied" and that this was, "The Finest Gourmet Food in the World". When we suggested we would like to think it over before buying, dear Brad was outraged! Why wouldn't we want to feed our family better and save money? Besides, he would have to make a special trip back and we had nothing to lose — everything was guarenteed! In order to get 25% off of every meat order for life, we had to buy "their" top-of-the line commercial freezer and Power Protection Plan for $2000.
After delivery it was noticed this Imperial freezer was 2 years old. We found the meat to be only OK (sometimes good) and quality never consistent. We gave the food a good-faith try, but the steaks were mostly thin and tough, ground beef (supposedly high quality ground steak) was greasy and grisly, and pork chops boney and fat. The kids would not eat the chicken nuggets or hot dogs. Not at all what we were used to and definetly not the best we had ever eaten!

My sister-in-law, who lovingly prepares our dinners, apologized more often than not. This meat was not even close in taste and texture to what she bought at Costco! I wrote a 3 page letter, listing our concerns and expressing disatisfaction. Since what we got was not what was represented, I asked that they pick the product and freezer up and refund our money (less food consumed). LTT did offer to replace the meat, but after much thought we declined: even if we got all Filet Mignon, we still would not have what we intended and thought we bargained for.
A fax today from Bill (LTT Customer Service) confirmed that the owner's (Tony Perchemlian, Pres.) position is: we didn't cancel within the 3-day cancellation period after we placed our order, they are enforcing "the contract".
Since we hadn't even seen the freezer or received our order, why would have canceled then? OVER AND OVER we were assured that once their meat was in our hands we would be thrilled. Well, we are not and they are not standing behind their promises. Seems that without further legal action, we are stuck. We referred another family member (before delivery) and they have all the same complaints.
Beware!
