We went to the Applebees in Andover, Ks. For supper on Sunday July 29th. We arrived at Applebees at 6:00 PM with a party of 9. We did not have to wait for very long before we were seated. After a few minutes our waitress come to take our drink order. She greets us by saying, I just want to let you know I am new I've been here for two weeks, I'm blond and from Arkansas and I have a bad case of hives. She could have left the last part off. I guess we that should have been our first sign that we should have left. One person should have got salad with her dinner, she got it after we had been there for an hour and 10 minutes. We were sitting there without food for 45 minutes when the electricity went out for about 2 minutes. We were waiting on our food which should have long been there before the lights went out. We asked when we would be getting our food and the explanation was that the window was full of food but it couldn't be passed out until the computers were back up and running because they didn't know were all the food went. We waited for another twenty minutes before our food got to our table.
We have now been there for an hour and a half. The food to say the least was luke warm or cold. I had the Fiesta Lime Chicken, the chicken was burnt, when we called the manager to the table for the second time, her comment about the chicken was she was sorry she told them not to send that out like that, my mom had a house sirloin which she ordered medium well and it came out almost rare, my daughter-in-law ordered the Aloha Burger which came out with the bun soggy. Needless to say a bad night at Applebee's, we were comped our entire meal, did they really think we would pay for that? Oh and before we left the waitress came back to the table and apologized and said "See, I told you, you would make my hives worse." I looked at her and said "That was not our fault!" It will be a long long long time, if ever I go back to a Applebees. Customer serve sure isn't what it once was!
