Terrible service and managment there are crooks! Stole my money!

I went to Barkin' Dog Grill in Modesto on 9/30 at about 7:30 and stayed till about 8:30 pm. My boyfriend and I had ordered our food and drinks and our food arrived to our table at a timely order.

But the waitress we had was terrible. She was wearing a short skirt and had long blonde hair (to her mid back) that was not tied up in a pony tail or a bun (I would not think this was sanatary at all).

We were there for about an hour, and the waitress never even offered to refill our drinks, which were completly dry. A couple times I had waved to recieve the attention of the waitress but she was not paying attention. The food was fair, no complants there.

When the bill came, it came out to $18.74. I felt that the waitress did not deserve a good tip at all, so I only left a $1.00 tip. Making my bill come out to $19.74. I have a reciept to confirm this.

Well, I checked my credit card statement later the next week. I noticed that my statement had stated: Barkin' Dog Grill - $29.74.

I understand that restraunts can accidently type in an extra "0" when entering tip information. Yes i know it is only $10.00 but this waitress and business did not deserve for me to pay a $30 for a meal there.

So as a consumer I called the restraunt. The first gentleman I had called took a message for me to give to the manager. The following message was left: There was a mistake on my reciept, if a manger could please call me back, then I left my name and phone number.

About two weeks pass, no calls from management. So I called again. I actually got a hold of the manager/owner there this time.

I explained my situation to him. He was extremly rude, and did not even apologize once. He then said "well what do you want me to do about it... Mail it to you?" and I said that is fine... I gave him my name again and address and phone number. He said he would mail me the difference and then hung up. I was fine with that, even if there was no apology included.

Well, here I am another 2 weeks out and nothing in the mail. So I decided to call the manager again.

I asked him if he had remebered me and he had said yes. I asked him if he has mailed the money and he had said no. First he said that he forgot, then he had said that it is only $10 and thought it was not enough of an amount to send out to me. So that was a lie there.

Then I told him I am going to report his behavior and overcharging to better buisness bereau, and he said " go ahead, do what you want to do" in an extremley rude voice.

I asked for his first name and he said " what is your name first?" I told him my name and he said his name was "Hannible" (I doubt it is) I asked for his last name and he refused to give it to me. He said there is no way I am going to get his name or money from him. The he hung up on me.

I could not believe it! I have never had management speak to me like that, especailly when I spent money there.

Who knows how many other people they have ripped off! Barkin' Dog is terrible service, and do not even care about their customers, why should we waste our money there!?
