I bought a $25 gift card on 12/10/05 and returned it UNUSED on 12/18/05. The asst manager, Mateo, took the card and verified that it had not been used.
He wouldn't give me a cash refund even though my receipt shows I paid with it IN CASH. He said he could give me $15 cash and then I'd have store credit for $10. Who wants to buy a $10 coffee cup? I don't even drink their coffee.
Otherwise, I'd have to fill out some forms and they'd mail me a check. So I did this and he assured me that I would have the check in two weeks. Four weeks later, I still had no check. They assured me it was comming.
Early February, I called again and spoke with Mandy, the manager. She said there was a mix up in payroll and I'd have the check in two weeks. Three weeks later, still no check.
I call again on February 27 and spoke with Mateo who doesn't know the status of anything but assures me the check is coming.
What a rip off! I've been waiting two months for a refund they could have given me in cash! Stay away from Peets! Their return policy sucks, the management gives you the run around.
And no one knows anything!!
