I started going to Starbucks for a Venti Iced Coffee which cost about $3.25 including taxes. I always asked for a receipt especially if I used my cash card. Today I went in for my usual Venti Iced Coffe gave my $20 gift card I bought the night before with the intention of budgeting my coffee expense. When it was my turn to pay, I told the cashier Venti Iced Coffee and gave him my gift card. He started punching the register and asked for extra $. 44 I told him I have a $20.00 gift card, and he said not anymore.

My thought was the place I bought my gift card must have made a mistake, but when he gave me the receipt (which I think was not his intention because I was waiting for it and even asked for the receipt) I saw on my receipt that there were charges for Venti coffee, cheese danish and chai latte which was exactly the order of the persons ahead of me.

I hope it was just a mistake, so I told him I only had iced coffee he immedietely took all my receipts and start punching no's again, when I returned to my office I saw that I only have $2.16 left on my card and lost my $. 44.

Starbucks should train their cashier because this is not the first time it happened to me when I used a gift card or credit card. Consumers beware always asked for receipts and check your receipts.
