Ripoff, lies, not customer friendly

I previously filed a report about the Subway noted above in Reno, NV but am making a new one because once again I have been lied to by them. I previously posted about how an employee had accused my husband and I of being theives and lying to try to get free sandwiches from all of the local stores. The manager even went as far as to say she thought we were this couple as well! All of this even though the employee admitted that she had only put meatballs on one half of my sandwich. See, we had a coupon for buy one six inch, get one free. The employee later claimed that after I called to tell them of this they went back and looked at the receipt. They said that they only charged us for a six inch because of this. Oh, by the way her name was Beth. She said that she remembered only charging us for the six inch because she only put the 4 meatballs on half and only sauce on the other half. I said no, you only charged me for a six inch because I had a coupon for buy one 6 inch, get one free. Why would she try to be all deceptive too if she was only giving us half a sandwich! If that were the case we would have got something else.

So anyway, when I call back up that's when all the accusations started saying that I was trying to scam them out of a sandwich, even though the employee, Beth, admitted she can't count and obviously got caught in a lie. I was told fine, I could go in for the free sandwich finally. I went back 3 times and all three times was told I had to come when the manager was there. Well, when the manager said she'd be there she wasn't, or I was at work and/or school. If I were trying to scam and steal from them, why would I go back there three times! The money I wasted in gas was probably more than to get the sandwich! I gave up finally since I really only wanted the sandwich on principle at this point.

So after I posted my original rip off report the owner of that store calls me. He says that he is very sorry that this happened and he doesn't know why his employees would accuse a customer of being a theif! I thought he sounded sincere and I thought that he was very nice. He even offered to send me some coupons for free sandwiches. I gave him my address, he has my phone, etc. I thought at that point I was safe to update my report and say how nice he was and how kind he was, and that I was given my apology. Well, apparently the joke is on me. He lied to me! Those coupons never came. I gave it 3 months to make sure I wasn't jumping the gun. I didn't want to post something if he was really truly honest with me and really truly sorry for what had occurred. Not that those were that important to me, I just thought that it was a nice gesture. Apparently once he saw that I updated the report he didn't think I was worth spending anymore time or effort on. I am very truly upset that he lied to me after what I had already gone through with them.
