I always get deli sandwiches from Safeway.in the past, almost every deli clerk from various stores I frequent has been kind, courteous and understanding of the number one rule... THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! You make the sandwich the way the customer wants it. Not what your little laminated sandwich sheet says. If it's not listed as a hot sandwich but the customer requests that you toast it, you toast it. Not argue with the customer that your little laminated sandwich sheet says it's not listed as a hot sandwich. Obviously DANIELLE from the Safeway Deli at the Sunvalley Mall store needs to be removed from her position or sent back to customer service training school. Like I said, I've been getting sandwiches for years at various Safeways throughout the Bay Area. I've never had a mere sandwich clerk challenge me over how I want my sandwich. She not only refused to heat my sandwich, but she told me she was going to charge me extra because I wanted a different roll... Which I always get. Unbelievable. I demanded to speak with a manager. Not only did she refuse three times to get one for me, she was rude and told me if I didn't like the service, to go somewhere else. I will never buy from Safeway again.
