Charged a stop payment, and then paid a wrong amount RIPOFF

I had a problem with a clock shop (see that report too) and was charged for repairs that I did not authorize, had taken it in for an estimate. I called Wells Fargo 800 number, the bank said they couldn't help me, that I had to call the number, and had the check stopped. That was on the 8th of Oct. I checked my acct, and 29.00 fee was taken out on the same day.

A week later, I check my acct, and the people I had written the check to had changed the amount to one dollar more and cashed it at my bank. Now, I am sitting here with a clock that isn't even right, a 29.00 fee, and 163.75 to a company that screwed me too.

I'd like to see something other than my head explode here. I'm thinking this cannot be legal, the bank said they will investigate it, and to file a report with the police, which I did, but neither seems too cocerned, their words were, we'll get back with you in 5 days. Meanwhile I will have 2 checks not covered, and generally can't believe this is happening. Anybody has a class action suit against Wells Fargo, let me know.
