My mortgage was taken over by Fairbanks Capital in 1998. At that time I was in Chapter 13 status paying weekly to my trustee. I had no knowledge of Fairbanks until my completion of Chapter 13 in July. That is when my nightmare began. I overpaid thru the Chapter 13 process, I requested an audit of my account, and found so many fradulent charges assessed to my mortgage I was outraged. The final end result happened last Friday October 8 through no knowledge of my own, Fairbanks foreclosed on my property without any audit being comepleted or final foreclosure being forwarded to me at all.
I am so overwhelmed they have had the ability to ruin so many lives. I filed Chapter 13 while going thru a divorce to save my home for my children, only to have Fairbanks foreclose on me. I need to know where others have turned to get refinanced at this point due to the fact Fairbanks has ruined by credit. I am at at a loss for words. I thought when the US government filed suit I would somehow be protected from all of this - was I wrong. This is criminal what they have done. Only to chage their name at the end.
