I was contacted by this company at home and was pitched a Mastercard with a $2000 limit. I was told that it was an unsecured card and all i had to pay was $279. I already have credit cards so it wasn't that i really needed it but I thought that kind of limit would really be great for emergencies.
So I agreed to it. The money was taken out of my bank account right away. When I made the transaction I was told that I would get my card in 7-10 days. I waited two weeks and heard nothing.
I called the customer service i was given by "Alicia" the person who pitched me originally just to get some information. The gentlemen on the line was very rude and asked me if i had received my package as if he were waiting for me to give him a problem. I told him no i hadn't he said I was supposed to wait 30 days. I told him fine but that is not what i was told. Then he changed his story to 30 business days.
Five weeks after the initial call I received a letter telling me that i wasn't going to get anything unless I send them more money.
I called and tried to get an explination from the same customer service number the lady was so rude. I told her that i was never told I would have to pay more. She said that we are told we will only be charged once the $279. I told her that was rediculous and demanded to speak with the Supervisor she refused to let me. I had to go back to my Bank and file a complaint to get my money back!!!
