On Sep 28, I received a telephone scam from Centurion Financial Benefits. They will give me a Mastercard for $ low interest and I need to give them $249 to set up the account. I was told by Mark {EV076}, that I filled out the application online thru another company 4 months ago.
My application was pass to them. He called me Ann and I realizes that I have only been using that name for 3 weeks, which I was looking for a car and financing for a car. I told him I need to verify his company, he stated they have no web site but gave me this information, their street address, 1 (866) 784-0260 and busniness hours m-f 9am to 5pm. He then stated I have until Oct 8 to setup account. I told he could call me back on Oct 5.
This morning Sep 29, Mark called asking have I verified his company and am I ready to make payment. Give him my account information.
I had already screwed up when he asked to verified my ssn yesterday. After doing so, felt sick.
I read the consumer complaints and I saw these reports and I knew what I must do. Between my guts and these reports, I will not go with the company.
I was looking at it to build my credit.
