I got a call from a Chris Bennett, claiming to be from Simmons and Smith Associates. He told me that I had a $500 payday loan deposited into my account and never paid it back. He proceeded to tell me my bank name, first and last name, my social security number, the only thing he got wrong was my bank account number, he asked me if my bank account number was # but was wrong, everything else he said was correct, but I told him it wasnt.
I am not willing going to hand over that type of personal information, even though he already knew it. He told I had to provide documentation from the bank he named proving I do not have an account with them and then, he said MAYBE, he can clear me of all collections. I have not ever gotten a payday loan, they are a rip off in themselves. This is the 3rd company who has called me claiming I owe, never the same amount, of money from a payday loan I had deposited into my bank account.
This bull crap has to stop and how in the world do they have access to my Social Security number???
